Faith is a hollow, hollow and lonely embrace
Tears, tears, tears down a beautiful face
Wedding ground
Drowning souls
Pooling in the cracks, crevasses and holes
When I want to kiss you carelessly... barren to bear
When I want to touch your hair... barren to bear
When I want to hold your hand in mine... not there
I know how this ends and I don’t like it
I don’t like it
I won’t pretend
So anything you want, just say it
Please say it
I don’t want to meet gone
When I want to kiss you, vacancy... barren to bear
I’m gonna miss you bad... barren to bear
When I want to hold your hand in mine... not there
Barren to bear
I know how this ends
It ends barren to bear
I’m gonna want to kiss you
Don’t ever want to miss you
I’m gonna wanna with you
So now I’ll pretend it will all be alright
It’s not a goodbye
It’s not a goodbye
It’s not a good bye

Behind The Song...
Barren To Bear
This song came from the experience of having my dear childhood friend suddenly pass away. The event set me thinking ever more deeply about life and its fragilities, realities and those things we tell ourselves to make ourselves, and others feel better about the finality of the passings.
